Out Reach Program


We at ANS strive to promote nuclear energy and educate the public on the possiblities of nuclear engineering. To accomplish this goal, we are beginning the Outreach Program this year.

We would like to give students a feel for what nuclear engineering really is and open their eyes to the many facsinating sides of nuclear concepts. To achieve this goal we are focusing on two things: 1. High School/Middle School presentations. These presentations can cover numerous topics. As the program grows this could include essay contests and teacher/student workshops. 2. Boyscout workshops. Guide scouts to earn a badge. We would like to create opportunities for others to learn what nuclear is all about and to provide resources for education.
